‘Yinna Claus of China, Mandarin princess and daughter of a famous warrior who saw sickness all around her in winter and joined forces to nourish them to health. Relying on the ancient Chinese healing powers of the ginger root, she soon realized that ginger tea was freezing to ice in the winter. How could she give the sick the necessary amount of ginger to help them, especially the children who found the taste too spicy? With some sugar – and eggs and flour, Yinna Claus began baking her ginger into cookies she called her “gingerbread medicine men,” and which was soon shortened to just “gingerbread men.”’

Yinna, Mandarin princess and daughter of a famous warrior herself knew both how to make war and how to make peace.
